Zane Anthony James passed away gently and earned his wings on the beautiful afternoon of May 31, 2018. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 1, 1998. He was 19 years of age and is survived by his parents Aaron and Tiffany, older sister Raven, older brother Gabriel, younger sister Ruby, and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He spent his early childhood in Greenville, North Carolina playing baseball and the remainder of his youth here in Cottonwood Heights, Utah playing competitive hockey. He spent the majority of his senior year of high school in Seattle, Washington playing Juniors hockey pursuing his dream of becoming a professional player. This is where he suffered a double traumatic brain injury that ended his dreams and ultimately his passion for life. Despite this, he came home and graduated from Brighton High School with honors. We will be forever grateful to him for sharing his time in this world with us. None of us will ever forget his blue eyes, love for life, fierce loyalty, and the ability to make everyone laugh. While we miss him dearly and are devastated by our own personal loss, we know he is in a better place. Please join us in celebrating his life on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation center next to the pavillion.Service Information
