“Gi” fought a courageous fight against leukemia, EBV and HLH, but her strong body could no longer keep going. She passed through the veil on Sunday, March 24th surrounded by immediate and extended family. With her was her husband of 33 years, Paul Brown, their sons Austin, Kohnor, and Jack Brown, along with her parents, Adolfo and Mirta Santamaria, and her sisters, Katina Santamaria and Nicole Storrs. She was everyone’s cheerleader, happy, beautiful, and always making others feel special. She welcomed everyone into her beautifully decorated home and created the most amazing dishes. She maintained high standards in making sure all she wanted was done exactly like she wanted and yet, her smile and thoughtfulness were the first things you would notice. The profound void left by Gi’s passing is Immeasurable and the ache of her absence will linger until the day we gather once more, sharing stories and laughter around the dinner table, as we always have.
