Winnifred Sue Burge (“Sue”), age 76, passed away on June 18, 2016, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born on October 10, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sue was married and sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on September 17, 1965. Prior to that time, Sue served a faithful mission to Uruguay for the LDS Church from September 1961 to September 1963. Sue attended the University of Utah and was a lifelong Ute fan. She enjoyed singing in choirs, playing the violin, crocheting, needlepoint, reading, fishing, and cheering for the Utah Jazz. Her favorite thing to do, however, was to spend time with family and friends, and particularly her children and grandchildren. It was only fitting, therefore, that she passed on with her children and grandchildren at her side. Sue is survived by her brother James Stanley Schoenfeld; children Sean Burge (Elaine), Rodger Burge (Cynthia) and Gillian Burge; grandchildren Felicity, Minna, Ella, Natalee, and Cecilia. She is preceded in death by her father James Theodore Schoenfeld, mother Winnie Schoenfeld, and brother Edward “Edo” Schoenfeld. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Park 6th Ward LDS Chapel at 7411 S. 4800 W., West Jordan, Utah, with a viewing commencing at 10:00 a.m. The family may also be visited on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.Service Information
