Winniferd “Maxine” Taylor

July 7, 1924 — August 1, 2018

Maxine was born near the small farming town of Welch, Oklahoma. She was one of seven children and is survived by her younger sister, Geraldine (Gerry) of Lynchburg, Virginia.
She is also survived by a daughter, Janice Brewer, step-son, Gary Taylor and two sons; David Taylor, Leland Taylor and his wife Sherry.  Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lee Taylor. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandson, Sean Taylor, and four step-grandchildren; Jonathan Singleton, Wayne Taylor, Lee Taylor and Penny Rohlman and their families.
For those who knew Maxine, she was not one to mince her words. She loved deeply and worked very hard to instill a solid foundation for her children.  She loved giving back and worked tirelessly over the last few years to make lap blankets for the Brookdale nursing home and baby caps for the neonatal unit at the Methodist Hospital.  She was loved by everyone at the Brookdale Community where she lived.
Maxine left these words for her family, “Love is not measured by money or things, but if it was, you would all be millionaires.”
