Beloved mother, gramma, great gramma, Wilma passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Born on October 9, 1926 in Salt Lake City, to James Christoph and Lena Moll Sdrales. After graduating from Granite High School, Mom went on to graduate from Stevens Henager Business college. She worked for 2 years at Combined Metal Reduction Company before marrying Wallace Laubershimer, her husband of 57 years, until his passing in 2004. After starting their family, she decided to be a stay at home mom to their four children, Richard (Roxana), Susan, Judy (Rod Mitchell), and Robert (Shaun). Together with their family, they enjoyed traveling all over the USA, Canada and Mexico. After Wallys death, they took a vacation to Hawaii, which had been a lifelong dream of hers.
Mom became an avid bowler in 1980. She bowled in three different leagues each week and had many 200 games and 550+ series, winning many pins and awards from the WIBC which she was very proud of.
Mom was a great cook, hosting family dinners and holiday parties that the entire family will miss dearly. She loved gardening and dancing, even though Wally had two left feet! She loved her cats, putting together puzzles and her candy....she had quite a sweet tooth.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Wally, son Richard, and grandson Gregory as well as sisters, Elaine and Dorothy and brothers, Sam and Tom. Wilma is survived by daughters, Susan and Judy, son Robert, 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Mom will be dearly missed by all.
The family wishes to give thanks to Spring Gardens Assisted Living and their caring staff with a special thanks to Shine, and Madi at Inspiration Hospice.
