William (Bill) Kranwinkle passed away on April 14, 2025. Bill was born in Salt Lake City on April 14, 1942.
After graduating from West High School, Bill joined the Marine Reserves. Later, Bill trained to become a Dance Instructor. Not long after Bill became a Dance Instructor, Bill met Iva at the Terrace Ballroom. Bill immediately swept Iva off of her feet. They were married on June 26, 1964 and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 11, 2001.
Bill had many careers, but his favorite was working as a switchman for the Denver & Rio Grande Railway.
Bill enjoyed bowling, where he actually bowled a perfect 300 game. Bill loved all sports, including golfing with Iva. One of Bill’s greatest passions was traveling with Iva throughout North America.
Bill is survived by his wife Iva Camiele Nelson.
A viewing will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at the LDS Church located at 1457 Atherton Drive, Taylorsville, Utah.
A graveside service with covered seating will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery – 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Following the graveside service, there will be a luncheon at the LDS Church – 1457 Atherton Drive, Taylorsville, Utah.
