William Hyler

September 24, 1953 — November 17, 2016

Our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2016 after a long battle with many health conditions.
Bill was born on September 24, 1953 to William Perry and Mary Oriva Hyler in Salt Lake City. Dad grew up in Los Angeles, California. He was a big Los Angeles Dodgers fan. Dad spent several years on the road with a truck driver he met in California that helped him turn his life around, Daddy Barnes. After that, he moved to Salt Lake where he met the love of his life, Sara Jane Rosser. They were married August 1, 1980. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in August 1981. Dad worked for many years as a security officer for ZCMI Mall.
Dad was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had a very strong testimony of the gospel and the plan of salvation.
Bill is survived by his sweetheart Sara, (daughters) Heidi Gomez and Kristina Hyler, (son) Evan (Stephanie) Hyler, (grandchildren) Ruben, Juan, Grace, and Ricky Gomez, (mother) Mary Hyler, (sisters) Connie (Bob) Grant, Nancy Schilling, and Stella Tribble, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins that dearly loved him.
He is proceeded in death by his father, William Perry Hyler Sr. and his daughter, Jennifer Rose Warren.
Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Intermountain Medical Center Heart and Lung Unit for their support and care they gave to our dad and family. We would also like to thank those at the Intermountain Dialysis Center in Murray for their care.
