William Deane Hunt

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Hunt on September 4, 2024, at the age of 79. He was a loving father, devoted husband, and cherished grandfather.

Born on December 28, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Deane Pehrson and Elsie Janssen Hunt, Bill was known for his sense of humor and kindness. His wholehearted selfless nature always brightened the day of anyone around him. Bill never failed to have an unexpected quip or kind-hearted joke.

Bill’s love for family was evident in everything he did. He took immense pride in his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed time with his family and created many lasting memories. Bill found great joy in camping, fishing, and hunting with his family – activities that became cherished traditions.

His career at ATI was a testament to his dedication and work ethic, but it was his devotion to his family and the gospel that defined his life. Bill was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings throughout his life. His legacy is one of love, dedication, and devotion to his family.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his two children, Christine and Russell (Janice), and his grandchildren, Sarah and Mason (Megan), who will fondly remember his kind sense of humor and devotion to family.

A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary followed by a graveside service at 12 p.m. at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary.
