Wilhelmina (Willy) Viellevoye Hoogveldt

November 29, 1930 — April 21, 2022

Wilhelmina (Willy) Viellevoye Hoogveldt passed away peacefully April 21, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 29, 1930, in Tilburg, Holland daughter of Theodorus and Josephina Viellevoye. She married Martinus (Martin) Hoogveldt before the law on July 15, 1958, and on October 30, 1958, in the St. Antonil Catholic Church in Tilburg, Holland, where their marriage became official.
Martin and Willy immigrated to the United States on December 6, 1958. Here they began their great American Dream and succeeded with a wonderful legacy.
Willy was an amazing wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. Martin and Willy worked hard and brick by brick they built a garage in the back yard and started their business Martin Steel & Iron. She worked as a seamstress for Mode Aday. She loved camping in Flaming Gorge with family and friends. After Martin and Willy retired (well mom never retired), they spent many years as snow bunnies in the winter months in Lake Havasu, AZ which she enjoyed with many friends. Mom was an amazing homemaker and loved when her kids were young. She loved her children, but her special love was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Willy is survived by her husband, Martinus (Martin) Hoogveldt of 63 years, sons John (Sharee) Hoogveldt, Martin Hoogveldt, daughter Nancy (Bill) McCarthy, daughter-in-law Stacy Hoogveldt, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren with another due in May. Sisters, Gerardina Ferwanda and Hennie Viellevoye.
Willy is preceded in death by her beloved sons, Steve Hoogveldt, Ron Hoogveldt and Robert Hoogveldt, her parents, brother Theodorus Viellevoye and sister Ann Doms.
We were quite sure Shakespeare was thinking of our Mother when he said, “Though she is but little, she is fierce”. Tiny in stature, she was mighty in life and left to all who were blessed to know and love her, a mighty legacy.
