Wilford Roy Hansen

Wilford Roy Hansen, 81, of Hurricane, UT passed away on February 7, 2018. He was born James Elmer Hansen and Edith Marie Willesen on May 18, 1936 in Gunnison, UT. He married Nathella Durfee on December 2, 1960 in Salt Lake Temple. He was raised and worked on the family farm in Gunnison, UT. He attended Gunnison High and took trade courses at BYU. He spent most of his professional life working for H R Wagstaff Construction as a crane operator. He also built some homes. He spent his free time building little picnic tables and toys. He also loved his garden. For the last years he spent his time making quilt tops, Nathella would finish the quilt and they gave them away. He raised his family of 9 children in Taylorsville, UT. He is survived by his wife Nathella, children Clifford (DeAnn) Hansen, E. Marie (Carl) Taylor, Kalvin (Tammy) Hansen, Kristine (Darin) Bitton, Minnie (Michael) Wunderlich, L. Darin (Stacey) Hansen, Leon (Glenda) Hansen, LeGrande (Tina) Hansen, Aleha (Adam) Larsen, Brother Randall Hansen, Sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Rosella Hansen, Mary (Robert) Prior, Donna (Melvin) McGill, 39 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alma, Clarence, Kenneth, Odell, Lawrence Hansen, Sisters Marie and Dorothy Hansen, Helen Reel. Funeral services will be Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Taylorsville, 10th Ward, 4950 South 1950 West, Taylorsville. Friends may call Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT and at Taylorsville 10th Ward from 11:30 to 12:30 PM before the service. Interment will take place at Memorial Redwood Cemetery. Special thanks to Troy Gubler and staff for the care they gave Wilford.
