Wesley Charles Anderson, born August 12, 1957 in Price, Utah to Arthur J. and Elfriede Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 15, 2017 while surrounded by loved ones.
Wes was a military brat and lived in many states across the US, including Florida, Texas, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, and California. He found a love for surfing in Florida with his brother, Terry, and would often get up before school to catch some waves.
After his dad retired from Patrick AFB in Florida, they returned to Utah where they made their home. Wes graduated from Skyline High School in 1975 and pursued his machining degree. He began working for Aerospace Tooling and Machining in 1981 to present time, moving up the ranks to lead programmer.
Wes married Michelle Salm in 1997 (later divorced,) they had two children together and his kids were the light of his life. Wes enjoyed many activities including, but not limited to: coaching youth football, motorcycle riding, flying RC planes, traveling, boating, fishing, camping, and being out on the ocean, but his main priority was spending time with his family.
He was the president of the Wasatch Mountain Parrot Head Club, served on the board for the Utes Youth Football League and was a certified scuba diver.
He was a father, son, brother, husband, friend, and a kind soul, who greatly impacted the lives that surrounded him. He was known for his passion to coach, his comedic sense of humor, his love for storytelling, and his mouthwatering grilling skills.
Wes is preceded in death by his mother, Elfriede Noll Anderson and both sets of grandparents.
He is survived by his daughter, Hannah; son, Weston; step son, Skyler Smith; father, Arthur; siblings, Terry (Sue); Evelyn Dodd (Danny); Heide; Dale (Melissa); and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dogs Kai and Olive, whom he spoiled to no end.
