Wendy Simons Thornton

August 29, 1964 — October 1, 2017

Wendy Simons Thornton, daughter of Quay & Linda Simons was born on August 29, 1964. She was received into her father’s arms on October 1st, 2017.
Wendy absolutely loved to be surrounded by her family. She was the caretaker of all. Anyone in need, she would be the first one there to take care of them, or rub their shoulders if you strategically placed yourself in front of her. Wendy loved spending time with those that meant the most to her. Whether it was monthly massages with John, shopping for hours with Bobbi, or delivering shakes to her son Matthew when he was sick. She was “Grandma Wendy”, regardless of the kid, because she had such a youthful, loving tender spirit. You can’t think about Wendy without thinking about Christmas, her caramels, lasagna or her beautiful singing. Wendy was always the one celebrating the loudest whether she was winning in Wendover or yelling Bingo! Her laugh was so infectious. Wendy played hard but loved even harder, and touched every life she made contact with. We will forever be grateful for her and the amazing love she gave.
She is survived by her loving husband John, son Matthew (Natasha), daughter Bobbi (Andrew), mother Linda, sister Stasi, brother Chad (Jessica), grandchildren Dominic, Chelsi and Kasi, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and everyone else that loved her deeply. Her memory will never be forgotten and her love will always be felt. We love you.
