Wendy Palmer Farr

April 16, 1952 — August 11, 2024

Wendy Palmer Farr (1952-2024) passed away on August 11, 2024. She was born on April 16, 1952 to Quenton James Palmer and Barbara Joy Whittear in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Brighton High School. She married Larry Curtis Farr on April 16, 1971 (Yes, on her birthday, which was also her parents’ anniversary.) They were sealed together in the Salt Lake City temple. Wendy shared two step-children with Larry, Ken Farr and Kim (Farr) Shamy. They are the parents of two twins, Jared and Rebecca, that died shortly after birth, and also a son, Paul Farr. Larry and Wendy were self employed and worked together most of their adult lives. They rarely left one another’s side. Until their later years they lived in Oakley, Utah where they were involved in the community, including working at the annual Oakley Independence Day Rodeo. Following retirement they moved to St. George, Utah where they lived until shortly before her passing. Wendy and Larry traveled the country in their motorhome. Yellowstone National Park was a favorite, where they visited many times. Wendy is survived by her husband Larry Farr, step-son Ken Farr, step-daughter Kim (Lyndon) Shamy, son Paul (Marci) Farr, brother Gary (Kathi) Palmer, sister Cheryle (Randall) Manning, and 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
