Nita (Wanita) Betty Moore

July 22, 1948 — May 24, 2024

Layton

Nita (Wanita) Betty Moore, 75, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all she crossed paths with, passed away on May 24, 2024.

She was born on July 22, 1948, to Junius & Betty Brown in Richfield, Utah.

Nita proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy and later worked at

Hill Air Force Base in Utah.   She was a devout member of the LDS church.

She married Glen Hamblin and had two children with him - a son, Shane Glen, and a daughter, Bridgett Joyce.   They were later divorced.

Nita was feisty, fun, caring and humorous.  Her eyes sparkled often with some sort of mischief!  She liked camping and fishing and was the best at making “hobo dinners”, wrapped in aluminum foil, to be cooked in the campfire coals, with smores to follow, of course!  She enjoyed doing word searches.  She loved to take off to Wendover, and often did.

She is survived by five sisters – Pammy, Tammy, Linda, Nina and Diane, and by one brother Lamar.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Junius & Betty Brown, one brother – Jim, and by her daughter Bridgett.

Please come celebrate her life and share a story or fond memory with us!
