Wanda Mae Pearson returned to her husband and Heavenly Father peacefully on January 17, 2014. Wanda was born June 10, 1939 to Walter Rowley and Lois Chapman in Harlem, Montana. She married Max. J. Pearson, June 25, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple and were sealed for time and all eternity. She and her husband with two young children moved from Eureka, California to Murray, Utah where she would spend the rest of her life. Wanda was a homemaker who loved to read, counted-cross stitch, arrange flowers, sew, and care for her beloved cats. Wanda and Max spent most of their vacations and retired life camping; a pastime they truly enjoyed. They would travel to Arizona for the winters and to the Unitah’s in the summers, joined by close friends and family. She enjoyed taking the grandchildren camping during summer breaks and treating them to campfires, games, and s’mores. Wanda is survived by her children, Leland (Carolyn) Pearson, and LaWanda (Charles) Searle; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and her brother, Walter Jr. Preceded in death by her husband. The love Wanda gave was one-of-a-kind and will be cherished by those who knew her. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed. A special thanks to Inspiration Hospice for making her comfortable and at peace in her final days. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 24th, 2:00 p.m. at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
