Walter David Finch

Walter David Finch “Dave”, loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Dave was born May 23, 1943 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, son of Walter Phillip Finch and Margaret Mary Finch.

 Dave served in the United States Marine Corps. Aside from being an Engineering Machinist, he was highly educated; a teacher of many fields. He held many certifications, some of which included certified river guide, swimmer (holding many titles in Wyoming), lifeguard, professor, and handyman extraordinaire. His role as Santa filled many hearts with joy lasting for 25 years. Dave had a love for exploring the miracle of the great outdoors with Beth whom he lovingly referred to as “Sweet Cheeks.” Together they enjoyed exploring many other countries, white water rafting, traveling in their camper, motorcycle trips and rallies, and off-road adventures.

 Dave is survived by his loving wife, Mary Beth Finch, sisters Kathy and Eleene, son Mike (Lisa) Finch, Tenley Finch, Kirsten Finch, Mark (Jamie) Tracy, Cindy Galli, Kristy (John) Durboraw. 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents, newly born son Walter, and Patricia Finch.
