Wade Nelson

Wade Frank Nelson was born on January 28, 1926 to Edna Nelson in Uintah County, UT. He passed away January 27, 2017 peacefully at the age of 90.
Wade was raised on a small farm in Roosevelt, UT and went into the United States Navy at the young age of 17. He served his country in WWII from 1943-1946. After his honorary discharge from the Navy, he met a cute redheaded gal named Bernice. They married on December 24, 1946. Having 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Wade and Bernice celebrated 70 wonderful years together. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple later in their lives.
Wade worked many years for The Wycoff company then later retired from Burt Explosives. Wade enjoyed retirement. He traveled all over with his redheaded love and joined a camping club where he made lots of friends who enjoyed his love for boating, fishing, and everything out doors and traveling.
Wade is proceeded in death by his parents, a brother in law and a grandson.
He is survived by his wife Bernice Nelson his siblings Dale, Maxine and Sally and their 4 children Linda Shedd (Joe), Michael Nelson (Colleen), Philip Nelson (Jo) and Janis Stallworth (Rick).
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 E. 7800 S. Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
