Vivian Kemy Roundy (May 16, 1978 ~ August 27, 2015)
Our beloved beautiful daughter passed away on August 27, 2015. Vivian was born in Ogden to Gary H. Roundy & Nancy L. Grant-Roundy. She grew up in Layton, Kaysville and Plain City. Viv graduated from Davis High in 1996 and then went to the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College. She worked in the medical field for many years at Primary Children’s Trauma Unit as a tech, also as an adolescent counselor at Valley Mental Health and a CNA at Maxim Healthcare. She advocated, supervised and assisted individuals with developmental disabilities. Vivian was an avid animal lover, especially for her faithful dog Petie and her sweet cat Spooks. Viv had a passion for music, art, camping, travel and all of her friends were very important to her. They all had great times together. Viv had a wonderful sense of humor and she could imitate many famous people. She was a caring person for those in need and tried to make people laugh and have fun. She wanted so bad to be happy and strong, though she struggled for many years with depression and chronic anxiety. Her mother would like to thank the NAMI education programs that helped her to understand mental illness. Vivian is survived by her mother Nancy Cheney, father Gary Roundy, sister Kristin (Frank) Perry and stepfather Paul L. Cheney. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 3 nephews, many cousins, aunts & uncles. She is also survived by her grandmother Elizabeth Grant, who she called a classy lady. She is preceded in death by her sweet grandmother, Alta Roundy. Vivian will be dearly missed by her friends and family who loved her very much. We’ll see you again dear daughter. A visitation will be held for her friends and family at Deseret Mortuary on Thursday, September 3rd from 2pm until 4pm.
