Vivian Gay Gundersen Davis, age 85, died at 4 AM on June 5, 2022, in West Jordan, Utah of natural causes. She was born April 13, 1937, to Quay and Mary Gundersen in Mammoth, Juab, Utah. In May of 1955, she graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City. She fell in love and married Jay C. Stanger on 21 July 1956. Their wedding was officiated by Bishop J. Peter Losher.
After the Marriage, they moved immediately to Long Beach California, then to Santa Anna, then to Anaheim, then to El Cajon where they bought a home and raised their family. In her later life, she married Lowell Davis.
She is survived by her five children: Sid Stanger, Douglas Stanger, Susan Winget, Randy Stanger and Kathline Porter; 91 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brothers: Ray, Dennis, and John Gundersen.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in several callings: including Sunday School Teacher, Primary Teacher, YWMIA Secretary, and Visiting Teacher.
She was also the room-mother in elementary school for all 5 of her children and involved in PTA meetings and conferences.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday June 10, 2022 at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery located at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A time of viewing and sharing memories will held at the Mortuary from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will in the Memorial Redwood Cemetery.Service Information
