February 12, 1930 — January 20, 2018

Virginia Robinson Blackhurst was born February 12, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford Allen Robinson and Thirza Cornick. She graduated from East High School, Salt Lake City in 1947. She also attended the University of Utah. She married Robert Huhl Blackhurst on December 16, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had five children, Mark (Chris), Debby (Cody) Crider, Janice (Roland) Ruegner, Douglas (Elaine), and Leslie (Dwayne) Bolton, 18 grandchildren, and 39 great grandchildren.
She was a wonderful example of a stay at home mom. She raised her five children with humor and devoted love. Virginia was an excellent seamstress and loved sewing for her children and grandchildren. She also made and repaired clothes for countless friends, family and neighbors. She loved to be in her yard and garden and preserved many products from it. She also enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren who love snuggling in her blankets.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served lovingly in many capacities during her lifetime. She and Robert served a full-time mission to the Washington DC Temple in 1992-1993. When they completed their mission they moved to Dallas, Texas and served in the Dallas Texas Temple for a year.
Virginia passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Robert, brother Donald A. Robinson, and grandson Jeffery Allen Blackhurst.
