1930 – 2018
            Virginia Mitchell Porter passed away on February 3rd, 2018, at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on May 6th, 1930, to Gilbert and Mabel Mitchell in Lehi, Utah. She married Preston Richard Porter on September 8th, 1951 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful Temple on June 22nd, 1996.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved working in her garden and her yard. She worked at Orbit (Pro-Mark) for 21 years and at the Hampton Inn for 12 years. She loved her years as a Sunday school and Primary teacher. She did the blood drive for 17 years and was a proud member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her daughter Deanna Chapman, son Kipp Porter (Monica), brother Roger Mitchell (Peggy), grandson Chuck Chapman, granddaughter Crystol Hoehne, and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Preston Porter, her daughter Pauline Porter, six brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at the Woods Cross North Stake Center, 1509 West 1500 South, Woods Cross, Utah, on February 10th, 2018 at noon with an hour prior viewing, as well as an evening viewing held on Friday, February 9th, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Interment to follow the funeral service at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Dr., Bountiful, Utah.
