Virginia May Hanni Barney

Virginia May Hanni Barney 04/22/1923~08/09/2016. Virginia, age 93, daughter of Samuel Hanni and Elizabeth Littlefield. Born on April 22, 1923 in Salt Lake City,UT. Passed away in Bountiful,UT. Virginia married Donald Barney on July 14, 1944. Virginia was a member of the LDS Church and a graduate of Provo High.
Virginia loved her scrabble books! She was always happy to see you and loved to tell stories of her childhood. Her spiritual gift was a giver. She would give of her love, time and money and never asked for anything in return. At age 91, went through the Bountiful Temple. Her legacy was the unconditional love she had for all her family. Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, her sons (Donald Jr. and Douglas) her parents, her brothers (Joe, Bert and Ray), her sisters (Alice, Myrle, Marion and Melva). Virginia is survived by her children Richard (Esther), Sherry Florin (Henry), Sandra Mulder (Frank), Pamela Sorensen (Steve), Roger (JoLynn), Merry Pepper and her sister (Donna). Virginia had 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great granchild.
There will be a viewing from 12-1 p.m. prior to graveside services held on Saturday, August 13th, at Lakeview Memorial at 1640 E. Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, UT. A very special thank you to all the staff for the personal care and love that was given to our Mother during her stay at Barton Creek Inn and to the hospice staff at South Davis Hospice.
