Violet Mcbride

Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and Friend, passed away on November 6, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 25, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Dominick and Marta Colianni.
Mom had seven very lucky children who loved her dearly with all of their hearts. She was a Jazz fan through and through. She loved spending time with her family traveling. In 2008, a highlight of those travels was traveling to Italy fulfilling a lifelong dream of meeting the Pope.
Survived by her Sister; Ann C. Sherwood, Children (aka, the McBride Rug Rats); Richard G., Karen Bone, Cheryl Matthews, Shauna (Ric) Morley, John N. (Johnette), Shannon (Dare) McBride. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren (aka, her mini Rug Rats) and many friends.
Violet is preceded in death by her Husband; Richard Patrick, Son; James Patrick; Sister; Margaret C. Lillie, Brother; John Colianna, Daughter-in-Law; Robyn McBride, Son-in-Law; Lynn A. Matthews, Grandsons; Jake Patrick Matthews and Michael McBride.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, 1 pm at the Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S 900 E, Murray. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City.
Mom, thank you for life’s lessons and the many wonderful years of unconditional love. We will miss you every day!
