Vincent Joe Griego, 65, passed away on January 18, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with emphysema, lung cancer, and COPD. Born on November 2, 1959, Vince’s life was defined by resilience and the deep love he shared with his family.
Vince enjoyed watching NASCAR and drag racing as well as working on and building cars. He collected coins, model cars, and trains. He enjoyed watching shows about the unexplained like UFOs, ghosts, and bigfoot. He loved listening to music, especially his record collection. Most of all, he loved playing games with his grandson.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Sherri and Christina; his cherished grandson, Jesse; as well as his stepmothers, brothers, sisters, and many other family members and friends who enriched his life. His family was a source of immense joy and comfort throughout his journey.
Vince was preceded in death by his daughter Angie; mother Matilda; father Vince Sr.; stepfather Bill; brother Anthony; sister Gaylene; niece Jeni; and numerous other dear relatives who held a special place in his heart.
Although no longer with us, Vince’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
In the last few years of his life, Vince found comfort with the stray cat that decided to be part of the family.
