Vicki Lee Beckstead passed away April 24th, 2020 at the age of 61. Born February 6th, 1959 to Jack Lynn Beckstead and Marion Joy Thomas. Vicki was the fifth of six children.
Vicki was a fun loving fiery red head and the official family sitter. Many a niece or nephew could tell you that if you wanted to get away with a thing or two, Vicki was the Aunt to go to. Not only would she let you have your mischief, she’d tell you how to go about it. She would give you a few pointers and perhaps even act as your look out. Then, with a wink, she would rat you out.
Vicki smiled and Vicki laughed. Infectiously so. Sometimes it seemed as if tragedy followed her through life refusing to give her even a moments respite. Despite the hardships and the heartaches, Vicki smiled and Vicki laughed and Vicki loved. Her unwavering ability to face life with an almost defiant optimism is how she will be fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to call her family.
Survived by her father Jack Beckstead (Carol), step-son Johnny Harris, grandson Robbie Harris, Brothers Lynn (Karen), Rod (Catherine), sisters Brenda (Ron), Debra (Brent), Sheri (Craig) and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother Marion, granddaughter Jennifer, step-son Robert, nephew Erik, nieces Jordan, Hope, and Ashley. Our Vicki will be laid to rest Wednesday April 29th, 2020 at 12:30 pm at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, Utah.
The family would like to thank the drs and nurses and the university of Utah hospital, her home nurse Brittany, and a special thank you to Vicki’s ward members.Service Information
