She was born on June 20, 1951 in Salt Lake City Utah to Guy Franklin Giles and Rhoda Ann Farmer Giles. She was the fifth of six beautiful children and grew up in a joyful and happy home. She was a bright and intelligent student who was often described as the life of the party. She attended Evergreen Jr. High and graduated from Skyline High School in 1969. After high school she earned a license in cosmetology. She later went on to study at BYU where she met her eternal companion Richard Flint Coles. The day after they both graduated, they were sealed in the Provo Utah Temple April 20, 1974. Vicki was an accomplished artist which brought her and her family joy and delight. She was also the Chairman and Director for the Midvale Junior Miss Pageant for four years and served two years as a Judge Consultant for the State of Utah Jr. Miss Pageant. Vicki and Richard started their life together in Midvale for over 10 years and later settled in Holladay for over 30 years. They were both very spiritual and faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Vicki was a devoted mother and grandmother. She and Richard cherished their three beautiful children and nine adorable grandchildren. Her family will always remember her cheerful disposition, contagious laughter and the vibrant light she exuded to all who knew her. She was so full of fun, wit and humor, and made everyone around her feel loved and appreciated. She valued deeply her relationship with her family and friends and loved ones.
