Vicki Jane Arcado
1948 - 2023
Sandy, UT-Vicki Jane Arcado passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on the morning of November 23rd, 2023.
She was born December 7th, 1948 to James Finley and Inez (Emery) Montrone, in Ely, Nevada.
She grew up in Granger, Utah and graduated from Granger High School in 1967. While attending Diablo Valley College, Vicki met the love of her life. She married Russell Arcado on June 28th,1969 and they were happily married for 53 years, until his passing in 2022.
Vicki worked as a Sr. Executive Secretary at Intermountain Health Care for 24 years before retiring.
She received her Black Sash in Tai Chi and shared her passion by teaching for over 20 years. She taught Tai Chi at the Sandy Senior Center right up until her passing. Vicki also directed the choir at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for many years.
Always a social butterfly, Vicki made friends everywhere she went. You knew you were a friend if she gave you one of her hand knitted dish cloths, scrubbies, scarfs or blankets. She had a green thumb and loved planting flowers, playing in the dirt and giving love to her many house plants. Vicki was a very kind, loving, gentle soul and will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her two children: Gina Brannon and Rocco. Three grandchildren: Zachary (Dorothy) Brannon, Zane Brannon (Destry Ripplinger) and Camille (Brittany) Arcado. Brother Chris Finley. Nieces: Christi (Gunther) and Kristie (Gavin). Nephews: Robbie (Michelle), and Judson (Maureen).
Preceded in death by her parents James Finley, Inez and John Montrone, husband Russell, and son-in-law Brett Brannon.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on January 6th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at The Ridge Golf Club, located at 5055 Westridge Blvd., West Valley City, UT.
