It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our dearest Vesna Majstorovic, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on February 12, 2025, just days before her 67th birthday.
Born February 25, 1958, in Eastern Europe to Spasoje and Marija Dragasevic, she was the oldest of four children. She met and married the love of her life, Bosko Majstorovic, in 1979, and they were happily married for 46 years. The birth of their two sons, Ninoslav and Sanjin, completed their family. While she had a successful career after completing college, taking care of her family was her life’s purpose. In 1998 Vesna and her family moved to America, where her warmth and generosity helped to create a home filled with love.
Vesna had a great love for gardening and everything thrived under her green thumb. Her house was surrounded by her beautiful flowers and her backyard had an assortment of growing vegetables starting in the spring and going through the summer. She was also an incredible cook and could cook up any meal with ease. She always had something cooking on the stove or a treat in her pantry. Family and friends could not visit her home without being offered home-cooked food or her favorite cookies and cakes. She made sure nobody ever left hungry. Her grandchildren especially loved her eggs, pita, and potatoes.
Vesna’s life was a testament of selflessness and an unwavering love for her loved ones, and she spent her last years affectionately taking care of her family which had grown to include her daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. She was an amazing baba and her grandchildren were her world. She spent any time she could with them. If you didn’t see a little one on her lap you could find her on the floor, playfully involved in whatever activity the kids were engaged in. Her love for them had no bounds, and her hugs and kisses were endless.
Beyond her immediate family, Vesna left an undeniable mark on the lives of her extended family, godparents, and friends, who will always remember her with love.
Vesna leaves behind her beloved husband Bosko; sons Ninoslav (Shannon) and Sanjin; grandchildren Tatiana, Ninoslav Jr, Elena, Zander; brother Goran; brothers-in-law Goran and Branislav (Milena); nieces Gorana (Miljan) and Zorica (Marco) and their children; as well as many nephews, cousins and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father Spasoje; mother Marija; brothers Tomo and Zoran.
