Veryl H. “Mac” Mcfarlane

Holladay, Utah—Veryl H. (Mac) McFarlane, 85, died on April 16, 2016 at home with his family at his side. He was born on Feb. 25, 1931 in Holladay Utah. He married Esther M. Amann on Feb. 28, 1952.
Daddy graduated from Salt Lake Tech, served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman during the Korean War and was employed by United Airlines before retirement. Dad loved to fish and to travel with his favorite destination – Hawaii. Dad was a member of the LDS Church serving in the office of High Priest. Dad and Mom served a 25 month mission in the Public Affairs Mission for Eastern Europe. If you would ask Dad what his greatest accomplishment were, he would say marrying Mom and his family.
He is survived by his wife (Esther) of 64 years; David (Vicki) McFarlane, Karen (Gary) Bloomquist and Susan (Larry-deceased) White. He has 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren with 2 more coming. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tracey Ann Maurice.
Funeral services will be held on Wed, April 20, 2016 at 12 p.m.; Big Cottonwood 2nd Ward, 2080 E Donelson Lane (5165 So). A viewing will be held on hour prior to services at the church. Interment – Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, Utah. Friends may leave condolences at www.memorialutah.com.
