Venus Fourkas, age 79, died December 13, 2019 in Illinois. Venus was born February 4, 1940 in Utah to Angelo and Mary Ziakas. Venus married John Fourkas on February 16, 1959. Venus was a loving mother and wife.
Venus is survived by her husband John; daughters Peg (Sam) Simos, Maria (Brian) Stroud and Tina Fourkas (Robert Anderson); grandchildren Alexa, Nicole, Kendall, Carsyn; sister Helen Velis; and sister-in-laws Julia Ziakas, Mary Ziakas and Olga Ziakas. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers George, Nick and Pete; and brother-in-law Bob Velis.
Private funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Salt Lake City, Utah with Interment following at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers kindly make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). Condolences may be sent to the family at www.memorialutah.com.Service Information
