Vance Stewart

July 22, 1950 — November 30, 2015

“We love you dad, fly free”
Our dearly beloved went back home to God, Monday, November 30, 2015 and a great light went out of this world. This very special blessing was sent to earth July 22, 1950 in Rupert, Minadoka, Idaho to Edward Leo “Bud” Stewart and Lucy Eunice Potter. He joined 2 sisters, Yvenna Lucy and Heather Loy. He was a loving, kind person, truly a gift from God. He lighted up our lives. He moved from Brigham City to Salt Lake City where he attended South High School and took early morning LDS seminary and ROTC earning the highest award in seminary and a sharp shooter badge in ROTC. He earned many other high awards in school and served an LDS mission in Florida where he helped and was loved by many people. Returning to Salt Lake he met and married his sweetheart, Laurel Ann Bymer in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They had 3 daughters, Kimberly Ann, Amelia Eunice, and Crista Rose. He loved his family most dearly. He helped raise 3 Grandchildren, Shayla, Shyann, and Quintin. He always had an interest in law enforcement and worked for some of the biggest security companies in Utah and the United States. Such as Pinkertons, Wackinhut, and Metters Patrol. He always had time to help people, especially his “little buddy” Vance Hansen, his nephew. We will miss you and always love you. Grave side services will be held Thursday, December 3rd, at 1:00PM at Memorial Mortuary, 6500S Redwood Rd. West Jordan Utah 84123.
