Valerie Renee Zirker

Our beautiful mom, Valerie Renee Zirker, 78, returned home to heaven on January 31, 2018 in Logan, Utah. Valerie was born on September 5, 1939 to Lyman and Lorena Zirker. Valerie grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was athletic in softball and track and played the clarinet. Valerie graduated from West High School in 1958. She is a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, where she served as Homemaking Director, Relief Society President, Primary President. She was involved in PTA as the President and in Girl Scouts in Kearns, Utah. Valerie retired from Hercules/ATK Aerospace as a Travel Accountant and later from Walmart in Taylorsville at the age of 74. Valerie is survived by her three daughters: Lisa Letham (Brad), Sharee Diederich (John), Natalie Ferguson (Dave). Valerie has seven grandchildren: Darren Haddock (Kassy), Ryan North (Jackie), Preston Powell, Jentry Diederich, Amber Bird (Weston), Jedediah Diederich, Chayden Powell. Valerie has three great granddaughters: Savannah North, Isabella North, Hazel Bird. Valerie is also survived by two of her loving sisters: Myrna Smith (Arlen) and Jennifer Stoeckle (Chuck). Valerie was a good friend to have with genuine love, compassion and wisdom, she was a great example of giving service to those in need, was generous, helpful, organized, perfectionist and a hard worker. She was happiest when spending time with her daughters and their families. We all love and miss her very much. “Love You More”
