Uriah Vern Curtis

Uriah Vern Curtis died on June 12, 2018 in Murray, Utah at the age of 85. He was born on November 5, 1932 in Orangeville, Utah to John Soloman and Mary Jane Allred Curtis. On May 21, 1960 he married Sharon H. Curtis. They spent 53 years together until she preceded him in death in 2013.
Uriah served honorably in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He loved all sports, but especially the Utah Jazz. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. Most of all he was a family man, a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his children, Terrea Jones (Ray), Michael Curtis (Sherri), and Dena Hunter (Terry Coots); a special niece, DeeDee Lockhart; his sister, Iris Malmstrom (Norm); his sister-in-law, Diane Kehl (Herb); 8 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary (6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT) with a viewing one hour prior. Friends and family may visit Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
