Tunatun’alei Malaea Kuaea Davidson passed away May 5, 2017 in her home in West Valley, Utah. She was born June 15, 1939 in PagoPago, Tutuila, American Samoa to Va’asoai’a Iuta Kuaea and Fa’ataualofa Malala Fetuli Taula. She married James Va’opule Davidson, Sr. from this union they had five children.
Our dear mother raised her five children “in the most beautiful city by the bay”. She worked and retired from FedEx and helped quite a few friends and family aboard FedEx. She was actively involved in the many callings she held in the LDS Church, serving as SF Samoan Ward Primary President, SF Samoan Ward Relief Society President and a teacher of many capacities.
Tunalei is survived by daughters, June Davidson, Janella (Peleti) Pulu, Josette Davidson, sons, James (Olga) Davidson, Jason (Adele) Davidson, Teddy Coney; grandchildren, Jarae, Jared, Jenise (Henry), Janessa (Inoke), Jordan (Marveleen), Shayna, Jayme (Teu), Josiah (Lola), Niko (Rechelle), Jonathan (Alyssa), Jazmyn (Moses), Peleti, Terrance, Teddy, Nephi, Jenavee, Malaea, Sariah, Mathias, Talisua and Jamien; great-grandchildren, Reice, Henry, Jr., Etisone, Viliamu, Iese, Ray, Ariez, Jordyn, Jaelah, Josiah Jr., Ioelu, Jason; and her cats, Pepper and Joey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Davidson; father, Va’asoaia Kuaea; mother, Fa’ataualofa Fetuli and granddaughter, Janelle; four sisters and five brothers.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Lancer Way LDS Ward building, 3963 South Peachwood Drive, West Valley, Utah. Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 pm.
Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
