Travis Thompson

May 22, 1972 — February 21, 2019

Travis Thompson passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side from a battle with pancreatic cancer on February 21, 2019. He endured a lot of pain without us knowing. He finally got some good pain relief and got some good sleep, but he just wasn’t strong enough to hold on anymore; He was just so tired.
Travis was born on May 22, 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Alfred Thompson and Julie Anne Hammes (Daniel). Travis was a loving husband, father, son and brother. Travis married the love of his life, Michelle, and had 4 amazing children, Shawn, Johnathon, Danielle, and Rylee. They will deeply miss their dad.
Travis worked as a security guard for Touched by an Angel in his younger years and then worked for Triton as a maintenance technician, which he loved, for 17 years. He recently worked for Falcon Collision in the auto body and towing department. He was a very hard worker, determined, kind, compassionate and thoughtful of others. He experienced many adventures throughout his life. Travis loved road bikes, dirt biking, snowmobiling, camping, and racing anything he could get his hands on. He was always living on the edge. He loved telling his elaborated stories to anyone that would listen. Travis truly lived his life to the fullest, he will be forever missed.
Travis is survived by his wife Michelle; children Shawn, Johnathon, Danielle, Rylee; mother Julie (Daniel); and siblings Debra, Brenda, and Michael.
Per Travis’ wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial/celebration of life will be held at the Mountain View Baptist Church, 822 East Main Street Building C, Grantsville, Utah, on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at 7:00 PM.
