Torrie Amelia Gines

November 23, 1966 — November 10, 2018

Our beloved mom, grandma, daughter, sister and friend, Torrie Gines was born November 23, 1966, she passed away early Saturday morning, November 10th at her home in West Jordan, from the awful demon cancer she fought valiantly and fearlessly, but the demon cancer won. She will be remembered for her love of family especially her grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
Torrie had a great love for the chariot horse racing and was looking forward to this season, she could be heard cheering for her brother racing team by everyone at the race track. Torrie told everyone that she would be watching in heaven if she wasn’t around physically to participate. Torrie loved the Utah Jazz, she was a longtime fan and rarely missed a game…Go Jazz!
To know Torrie was to love her, you always knew where you stood with her. She would be the first one to tell you how she felt, but the first one to have your back. Her heart was golden.
Torrie loved her job at Edwards LifeScience where she has been for employed for 25+ years, she impacted many lifes throughout the industry, and considered many her family. She was known as the Edwards psychiatrist.
She is survived by her two boys, Joshua Gines and Wacey Giles (Steven Giles), grandsons Cohen and Chase Gines, mother Sandra Mullins and her husband Leonard Mullins, sisters Debbie (Phil Nordquist) Cindy, (Brett Hanni), brothers Randy Timm (Laura) Cortney Timm (Geri) and sister in law Linda Larsen and her husband Ray Larsen and many nieces and nephews, preceded in death by father Robert Timm and brother Marty Timm.
Torrie would like thank all of those that help make her life a little less painful, the doctors, the Cancer Specialist and her hospice nurses, and many friends and family.
Special thanks Edwards LifeScience, who was a true friend and loved Torrie dearly.
