Tim Arthur Salazar

May 24, 1961 — September 6, 2024

Salt Lake City, September 6, 2024, Tim left us to continue his journey. He was born May 24, 1961, in Durango, CO to Danny and Alice (Ramirez) Salazar. They moved to SLC where he attended West High and met the love of his life, Sharon Shiba. Happily married for 45 years, they were blessed with all girls. Elisa, Maria (Daniel, sons Isaiah and Maxwell), Essence, and her mom Teresa (Kathryn, daughters Serenity, and Raidyn, brothers Milton and Thomas).

He is the eldest brother to Judy Moore (Rick), Benedita Lozano (Richard), Danny (Christy), Abel, and Shurlyn (both have moved on ahead of him).

Tim had a passion for cooking. He made sure no one ever went away hungry. He enjoyed all sports including basketball, softball, boxing, and playing pool. For the last 25 years, he worked at FedEx, where he proudly strived to keep the Purple Promise alive. Tim was loved, admired, and respected by many.

We would like to thank the wonderful doctors and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for their outstanding care and kindness.
