Thomas William Billis, born July 25, 1925, in Helper, UT to Annetta and Louis Billis, passed away January 24, 2017, in Draper, UT.
He married Geri Merfeld on November 10, 1951 in La Crosse, WI. Tom served in the US Navy and the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. He retired from Hercules Aerospace in 1990 after 32 years.
Tom is survived by his wife and their children: Mike Billis, Cynthia (Lynn) Powell, Cheryl (Jeff) Lowry; 4 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Angelo Michael Billis; son, Dan Billis; 2 granddaughters; and 2 great-grandsons.
A viewing will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Memorial Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT. Graveside services to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E. 500 S., Salt Lake City, UT.
