“Beloved Husband and Father”
Thomas B. Petersen, 92, passed away September 8, 2016 in Salt Lake City. He was born January 26, 1924 in Manti, Utah to Niels C. Petersen and Elleve Bach. He married his sweetheart Colleen Jensen on June 29, 1947.
Tom and Colleen moved to Salt Lake City in 1948. Tom followed in his father’s footsteps as a carpenter, he was a member of the carpenter’s union for 68 years. As a youth he was sheep herder. He served in the army during W.W. II in the Philippines. He loved his family and his coffee. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and puttering in his shop.
He is survived by his loving wife, children JoAnn, Kay and Kim; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, all 16 siblings and one great grandchild.
No services will be held but Colleen would appreciate visits from friends and neighbors.
