Thomas Leroy Evans

Thomas LeRoy Evans was born in Malad, ID, April 5, 1927 to John LeRoy Evans and Mattie Peterson Evans. He passed away November 5, 2018.
LeRoy loved his teenage years in Bremerton, WA, and later served in the Army of Occupation in Japan. He served a mission in England for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he met a sister missionary who would later become the love of his life, Bernice Bullock. They were married on August 19, 1953 in the Cardston, Alberta Temple and sealed for time and all eternity. They lived in Salt Lake City then moved to Holladay where they had many friends, and raised their 5 children, Terry (Marilee Flint), Ronald (Paula Groutage), Renee (Glade Warner), Colleen (Stephen Ensign), and Pamela (Brian Oveson).
LeRoy worked mostly for EIMCO, but also sold insurance for Prudential where he became one of the top salesmen. He loved to laugh and always had interesting stories to tell about his life and growing up.
LeRoy and Bernice loved to travel. They served a mission in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He loved to serve others and did so throughout his life.
LeRoy is survived by his children, their spouses, 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice and 2 great grandchildren, James and Owen McDougall.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Holladay North Stake Center, 4395 S Albright Drive (2145 E). A viewing will be held Friday, November 16, 2018, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Dr. Holladay, UT and again Saturday, November 17, 2018, 9:30 to 10:45 am at the Holladay North Stake Center, 4395 S Albright Dr. (2145 E) Holladay, UT. Interment will be at Memorial Holladay Cemetery following the funeral.Service Information
