Thomas Lawrence Parry

January 10, 1933 — December 24, 2021

Thomas Lawrence Parry, our beloved father, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021. He couldn’t wait to celebrate Christmas in heaven with the love of his life Nancy, son Thomas Scott, and grandson Cory Scott.
Tom was born January 10, 1933 in Standardville, Utah, to Isaiah and Elizabeth Parry. He had two sisters, Earlene and Myrlene and a step brother and sister Frank Roseman and Pauline Durrant. While Tom was only 4 years old, His beloved mother died while giving birth in 1937. He grew up knowing the value of hardwork and being self sufficient.
In 1951, he married Ellen Dian Stevens. Together they had 4 wonderful children. They were later divorced. In 1973 he met and married Nancy Ruth Christiansen Jolley. She was a young widow with a son, Brent Jolley. They lived in Salt Lake City, Utah where they built a very deep and caring relationship that was based on love and support. Together, they welcomed a son, Michael Gene. They loved camping, boating at Lake Powell with their best friends (Louis and Marie), family, and many other friends. If you ever had the opportunity to be in Lake Powell with Tom, you would be able to find him up the arm of the San Juan River, where he felt that this was God’s water skiing spot. Tom was an amazing slalom skier and skied well into his 80s.
Tom loved his work in the car business. He was the ultimate salesman and finance director spending decades working for Jerry Seiner for most of his career. Tom finished the last of his working years with Quality Rv as their finance manager.
Tom will long be remembered for his humble, strong-willed and independent spirit. He was proud of his physical fitness and would never tell people just how old he was, even if it meant missing out on a senior discount. You would never know he was almost 90. Until the day he passed, you would never get through a conversation without Tom bringing up, going hunting, fishing, or boating on Lake Powell. He wanted everyone around him to feel the same happiness he felt when he was in any of these places. He took great pride in caring for the people in his life. Tom was quick to not only share a laugh but laugh along with you.
Tom is survived by his loving family. Children; Kim (Cindy) Parry, Valerie (Brad) Hansen, Cheryl Ann Parry Conlon, Brent Jolley, Michael (Katie) Parry and daughter-in-law, Kris Parry. Sister, Earlene Cox. 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be welcomed to his heavenly home by his parents, his beloved wife Nancy, sister Myrlene Hider, son Scott Parry and grandson Cory Scott Parry.
