Thomas Herbert Stayton Iii

The best husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, and friend departed peacefully to meet his birth father for the first time today. He fought a courageous battle and lived a great life.
He was married to his best friend Laura (Enniss) and got to spend 57 amazing years with her. They had four beautiful children: Wendy (Mark Moreno), Tom (Val), Tiffany (Trent Bean), and Trudy (Travis Waldo). Together they all built a wonderful family of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He loved to spend time with his family camping, fishing, duck hunting, bowling, and lots of summers BBQing in the back yard. His other joy was his grandbabies and being able to hold and snuggle them to pieces.
He was a great man and served his country in the Vietnam War and we are grateful for his service.
He was known for his “Papa Bear” hugs and his caring heart. He would do anything for family and friends. “Papa Bear” will forever be remembered and spoken of by all, especially his grandchildren.
Papa, we love you always and you will live everyday in our hearts. Rest in Peace. ♥Service Information
