Thomas Hamby

Thomas Gilbert Hamby passed away Sept. 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was born in Crossville, Tennessee Sept. 25, 1929, to William Andrew Hamby and Edna Ella Myatt. He later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he married the love of his life Betsy Webster Hamby, of 55 years.
He loved his family and would do anything for them. We will miss him very much.
He is survived by his wife Betsy, five children: Susan, Nonie (Bryan), Linda (Randy), Tom and, Steve (Denice), thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one sister; Katherine (Kat) Beglarian.
He was preceded in death by parents, 9 siblings: Martin, Noah, Chester, Marjorie, Everett Warren, William Paul, Vera, Mescal, and Joanne. As well as two children: Ann Marie, William Andrew and Son-in-law Rod Switzer.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday September 7, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00-11:45 am. The interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 So Salt Lake City, Utah 84117. Funeral Directors: Deseret Mortuary
