Passed away on January 10, 2015 with friends and family at his side.
Tom was born on December 16, 1965 in salt lake city Utah to Tomas Gilbert Hamby Sr. and Betsy Webster Hamby. Tom was a man who loved life, and always lived it to its fullest. he had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back if he believed it would help someone. He was a man of integrity his moral principles are what he lived by, you could always count on Tom, if he said he would do something he would always follow through. Over the years his passions were martial arts, fishing, hunting, motocross, wood working, guns, and boating. He loved his job and all those he worked with as a Teledata technician for cache valley electric. He took a lot of pride being a member of the international brotherhood of electrical workers (Local 354) and was proud to call all his workmates such.
His greatest passion was his family, any chance he had he would be found taking someone to the lake away from the hectic life and would enjoy good quality time with them.
Survived by his Mom; Daughters: Brandee Harris(Brock) Jamie Hamby Collings (Colton); His Sweetheart: Maria Butcher; Siblings: Sue Switzer, Donna ‘nonie’ Hamby, Linda Bailey (Randy), Steve Hamby (Denice) Mark Grant (Lisa); Grandaughter: Braylee; Many cherished and loved nieces and nephews; Several close friends: Steve Glissmeyer, Boyd Evans, Carey Beckstead, Travis Grant and many more unable to mention.
Preceded in death by: Father: Thomas Hamby Sr. ; Father: Brent Grant; Mother: Mary Grant; Sister: Anna Simpson; Brother: William Andrew Hamby.
Services will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday January 17th 2015, at Murray Memorial 5850 south 900 east. Murray, Utah, with a viewing from 11:30-1:00
Services will be followed by a celebration of Toms life which will be held at The Woods on 9th located at 6775 south 900 east, the celebration is open for all who would like to come.
