Theron Corbridge

January 12, 1914 — September 24, 2013

Tuesday evening, Theron Corbridge passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Theron was born and raised in Preston, Idaho. His parents were Sylvestor Lorin Corbridge and Jo Effie Stephens. He Married Anona Atkinson on July 25, 1937. He joined the United States Navy and served from 1942-1945. Where he served as a Seabee in WWII and was later discharged as a 3/C Petty Officer.
Theron drove the first cement truck in the United States in Ohio.
They moved to Salt Lake and started their family where they had six children. Their names are Jana, Camille, Dennis, Susan, Ted and Teresa. Anona passed away in 1964.
He then met Mary Hadfield Paskett and they married on July 15, 1966 where her and her children Richard, Barbara and Patsy joined our loving family.
Theron worked for Interstate Brick Company where he retired from. He had many other jobs that he loved. Working for the Utah Symphony and the Salt Palace were two of his favorite jobs where he met and still has many friends.
He loved the extraction work he did for the churches genealogy program where he did well over 200,000 names.
He is survived by his wife Mary, son Richard Wilson, Ted and Pam Corbridge, daughters Pat and Joe Larsen, Barbara Ekins, Camille Tiffe, Sue and Steve Hendricks, Teresa and Craig Johnson; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents siblings as well as his children Jana Cook and Dennis Theron Corbridge.
Theron loved and insisted on playing the harmonica for anyone that wanted to listen. He made it a special point to play at his grandson Cody and Jana Johnsons wedding.
You just never knew when Theron would show his playful side and burst into song or tell one of his amazing stories, which he had many.
We love Theron so much and he will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of getting to be in his company.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 am with a viewing prior to that at 10:00 am it will be at the Jordan River Third Ward on 10400S 1540W in South Jordan, UT. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Under the direction of Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.holladaycottonwoodmortuary.com
