Thelma Louise Morrison

Thelma Louise Morrison passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday December 20th, 2021.
She was born May 31st, 1932 in South Portland, Maine to Wilmer Amile Kierstead and Bertha Lillian Crory.
She graduated from South Portland High School.
She was a stay at home Mom when her kids were younger, and later worked as medical office manager for 2 different practices, where she got to know and love many people in the community.
She married Merrill Louis Gogan, later divorced. Married Marvin Junior Morrison in 1976, later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in 1990.
Survived by children, Lorie Myers, Shelene (Tracy) Orton, Marin (Margo) Gogan, Troy Gogan, Stepdaughters, Marvetta King, and Sandra (Blaine) Green, Stepson, Joseph (Becki) Morrison. Also survived by several Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.
Thelma served in many callings for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on both a Ward and Stake level. Many of these callings involved music, that she loved and enjoyed so much. She also loved singing in the choir. She served as a temple worker with Marvin in the Jordan River Temple for many years.
Thelma spent so much of her life in service to others. She always looked for service opportunities.
Her sense of humor was contagious, and she always had a joke or riddle to share. She loved people!
Music gave her such great joy all throughout her life. She taught her children to sing and harmonize, and her home was often filled with music.
Thelma’s spirit is larger than life, and she will be greatly missed. What a joyous reunion she must be having with family and friends on the other side of the veil.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday December 26th, 2021 at Lake Hills Memorial Park at 10055 South State Street Sandy, UT 84070
A celebration of Thelma’s life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints Chapel at 12:00 p.m. noon on Monday December, 27th, 2021 at 1050 East Galena Drive in Sandy, Utah 84094, with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
