Terry Lynn McCleery, age 73, passed away on January 16, 2022 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born June 14, 1948 to LaMont and Barbara McCleery in Murray, Utah. He married Carol Louise Turner McCleery on March 3, 1984.
Terry grew up in the Midvale-Fort Union area and graduated from Hillcrest High School. At a young age Terry began working with his dad doing construction, mainly roofing, and Terry continued doing construction work as an adult. He was excellent at building houses, woodworking, and anything that had to do with construction. If you talked to Terry, he would tell you that he could do anything, and he would most likely tell you he had already done it before, but he really did have a way with making things work. If there was a tool for something, he owned it, and some tools he probably had several of. He was always willing to help someone out, even at times working for free when someone needed it, he had a big heart.
Terry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he held many callings throughout his years. His favorite callings were with the scouts and in the nursery with the little kids. His favorite thing with scouts was the pinewood derby, he always had a car ready to race.
