Terri Smith Soelberg

February 19, 1958 — March 25, 2020

Terri Smith Soelberg, age 62, died on March 25, 2020 in West Valley City Utah after a very courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 19, 1958 in Phoenix Arizona to Larry D. and Lorraine Smith.
Terri moved to Murray Utah when she was 8 years old with her parents and 5 sisters. She was a member of the Murray High School choir and Booster Club and graduated from Murray High in 1976.
She met her eternal companion, Steve, after her sister who was in his last mission area told him to look her up when he returned home. They quickly fell in love and were married for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 3, 1977. They are the proud parents of 4 kids. She was their number one fan with everything they were involved in from sports to dance. She continued that support with her grandkids and their various activities.
Terri was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings including Young Women’s President multiple times where she was an example of Christ like love. She loved serving others and made sure everyone felt the love the Savior has for them.
Terri’s favorite place was on the lake. She looked forward to annual family vacations to Bear Lake where she rode the wave runner like a mad woman. She also enjoyed multiple cruises and trips around the world with Steve that took them to places like Panama, Norway, Paris, Alaska, Mexico, and many other fun spots.
Terri is survived by her husband Steve, children Matthew (Lavern, dec.), Nathan (Jessica), Heather Hickler (George), Bethany Wertz (Brett) and grandkids Macy, Colt, Mali’i, Clara, Hunter, Leiona, Lilly, Joey, and Braylee.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, sister Nancy, niece Lora, and daughter in law Lavern.
She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all that know and love her, especially her grandkids!
