Tera Smith

March 11, 1976 — September 6, 2017

Tera Smith
Our beloved Tera Nicole Cleverly Smith passed away at home on September 6th, 2017. She suffered from chronic back pain due to multiple back surgeries and fusions. She had heart and lung complications due to pulmonary hypertension. Tera was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her husband-Ryan Smith, son- Talan, father- Ricky Cleverly, brother- Rick, along with other family and friends.
Tera was born on March 3rd, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ricky Cleverly and Karen Roeling Cleverly Hunt. She grew up in West Valley and Salt Lake when her parents got divorced. She was a happy child and loved watching her dad and brother play sports. She would say how she loved going to 7-11 with her dad on the weekends in the morning. She would read the comics and he would read the paper as they drank coffee and coco.
Tera married her high school crush, Ryan Smith, at the young age of 16. He enlisted into the airforce and they moved to Germany, then to Vegas. After 4 years, they moved back to Utah to start a family. She soon had a wonderful son, Talan, whom made her life complete.
Tera worked various jobs as a receptionist, in a vet clinic, and as a manger of a credit union until she could no longer work due to back pain and was put on disability in 2000. Tera loved to go camping and taking Talan swimming. She enjoyed going to amusement parks and other fun activities like ATV riding. Tera will be greatly missed. She was taken way too soon and never got the chance to fulfill all her life’s dreams. May she rest in peace, free from pain, and despair. You will always be loved. We will see you again.
