Ted Bean Smith

Ted Bean Smith, 70, died peacefully on August 2, 2017 in Murray, Utah surrounded with love by his long-time companion, Kathleen Anglin, sons and siblings.  Ted was born November 10, 1946 to Ed and Beth Smith, the oldest of four children.  He grew up in Murray, Utah and graduated from Murray High School in 1965.  After graduation he was drafted into the Army and honorably served our country in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict.  Upon discharge he was employed by Westinghouse Electric where he was a skilled electric motor technician.  Ted enjoyed camping and fishing with his family at Rock Creek while growing up.  He loved sports, John Wayne movies, hunting and his dogs.
Ted is survived by his companion Kathleen, sons Cory and Jared, grandchildren Steffan, Kaden, Ashian, sisters Barbara (Doug) Roberts, Korahle (Ron) Anderson and brother Rex (Susan) Smith.  He is preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Thursday, August 10 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah at 11 A.M. with a viewing one hour prior to services.  Burial and military honors will follow at Camp Williams/Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 S Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah following the services
